  What is Gyroplane?

Groplane means a heavier than air aircraft supported in flight by the reactions of the air on one or more rotors which rotate freely on substancially vertical axis.

How Gyroplane technology is different from fixed wing and helicopter?

Gyroplanes operates on the principle of autorotation which means its lift generating devices (rotors) are freely moving by the sheer power of the air on its aero foil surfaces which is not powered.

Why Gyroplane is called safest of all flying machines?

Since it works on autorotation principle the rotors are not power driven, if the engine goes off it will not stall and glides to land safely, moreover its design is inspired by Formula one car in a monocoque structure providing protection to the pilot and the passenger from injury on impact.

  How old is this technology?

Gyroplane was first flown in 9th January 1923 by Juan de la Cierva.

Do Gyroplane have the VTOL (Vertical takeoff and landing) capabilities?

In General No. However in certain experimental models jump take off capability is previlant and can partially hower over a point for some time and also has the vertical landing capabilities

  Can Gyroplane fly at night?

Yes it can, but not yet allowed by the Civil Aviation bodies.

Can Gyroplane operate during turbulant winds and rain?

Yes it can fly very efficiently in turbulant winds of upto 40 knots cross winds.

What is the endurance of the Gyroplane and what kind of fuel it consume?

Upto 5 hours with full fuel tank (84 l) & it runs on normal unleaded petrol.

Is the Cabin of the Gyroplane Pressurized?

No the cabin is neither pressurized nor required.

What will happen if the Engine goes off?

As the Rotors are free wheeling and not powered by the engine, the flight behaviour of this aircraft does not undergo any change thus it can gently glide down to nearby place for a safe landing.

What is the Glide Ratio of the Gyroplane?

  It is around 4:1.

How complex the Gyroplane is to fly?

A person with a normal car driving skill, can fly it post training.

How many person it can carry?

Xenon 4 XL varient of Xenon Gyroplane can carry upto 3 persons (Including pilot)

How much area it requires to take off and land?

Generally For take off 100m max and for landing around 10m ( Depending on weather too )

What is the Maximum height it can attain?

Highest Altitude record was set over 23000ft but generally it can fly upto 18000ft

How old the OEM (Celier Aviation) company is?

They Started the business in 1993 ( http://www.celieraviation.com/about-us.html).

In how many countries Xenon Gyroplanes are being used?

32 countries are actively using Xenon Gyroplanes for different applications and incresing.

How the Xenon Gyroplane are different from other Gyroplanes?

The Cabin of the Xenon is very spacious and an engineering work of art- is made of composite materials in monocoque technology which means that it is structurally built in one piece of material, just like Formula 1 cars,.

Where is the Factory setup of Xenon Gyroplane?

The factory setup is in POLAND, MALTA and third one is soon to be setup in INDIA

  Why Xenon?

The Cabin of the Xenon is an engineering work of art - is made of composite materials in monocoque technology which means that it is structurally built in one piece of material, just like Formula 1 cars.

  What is a monocoque?

The Cabin is the main component of the machine. All the other components are mounted around the cabin. The main task of the cabin is to provide an enormously strong shell shape where by all other parts are fixed. This provides a huge safety for pilot in the event of an accident because the cabin is capable of withstanding the load many times exceeding the acceleration of gravity.

Can Xenon be fitted with different type of fitments to use it for different purpose?

Yes it can be fitted with different di fitments like floats for water take off and landing, skies for snow take off and landing, agricultral spray equipment, FLIR, land survey equipment, 3-D mapping Eqipment etc.

  Certificate Availed by Xenon Gyroplane?

Type approved by German civil Aviation Authorities.

How many variant of xenon Gyroplanes Available?

6 varients are presently available, and a four seater is in the R&D stage.

How old the Gyrox Aviation and Celier Aviation joint venture is?

Its been two years since Gyrox Aviation has collaborated with Celier Aviation in transfer of technology and setting up of Assmebly and Manufacturing plant in INDIA

Will Gyrox Aviation manufacture the Xenon Gyroplanes in India or import it from the OEM?

Inititally the Xenon Gyroplane will be assembled in India but on later stage the Manufacturing hub will be setup here in India.

Will Gyrox Aviation also do the Insurance of the purchased Xenon Gyroplanes?

  Yes we will provide.

What is the process of doing the Registration in India after purchasing Xenon Gyroplane?

The Regulations for Gyroplane will soon be published by DGCA, which will cover this question.

Where the Xenon Gyroplanes can be parked? Will Gyrox Aviation provide the Hanger facility to the owners and at what cost?

Intially we are planning to provide hanger service in the metro cities only but steadily we will expand this service across the country.

Will the Gyrox Aviation also do the daily maintenance as well?

We will provide periodic servicing of the the Aircraft supplied by us as per service manual, we have a professional team to take care of this issue.
