ARGO Helicopters

We are redefining the route to market for innovative helicopters
Manufaktura Lotnicza has pioneered a reimagined approach to delivering and supporting safe, exciting private light helicopters.
Light helicopter owners fall into two broad categories – private and commercial users. Private owners typically demand much more modern technology, more luxury, frequent product refreshes and much better customer support compared to their commercial counterparts.

Manufaktura Lotnicza meets the expectations of demanding customers
The ARGO AH has state-of-the-art avionic instruments, a stick between the legs and a three-blade front rotor, which guarantees incredible stability in flight and excellent climb – up to 15 m/s. Thanks to its lightweight titanium and composite construction, it is safe and quiet.

Thanks to modern aircraft engines:
Ulpower and Rotax 916, it can reach speeds of up to 180 km/h and an operating altitude of 15,000 feet. It is extremely maneuverable and responsive, making it the aerial equivalent of a high-performance sports car. Its excellent performance and rigid rotor design allow it to achieve outstanding results.

Key design features:

  • modern, reliable aircraft engines
  • automatic governor with speed correlator
  • full fairings with large luggage compartment
  • new, modern instrument panel with glass cockpit featuring GARMIN GX3 avionics
  • and classic redundant instruments or two vertical Nessis 10′ screens
  • modern, luxurious interior
  • high-inertia carbon fiber rotor, ensuring smooth autotorsion in 100%

The ARGO AH

Helicopters family with a rigid three-blade rotor was designed primarily for private owners, completely changing the existing reality of helicopter operating costs.
Calendar depreciation has been virtually eliminated thanks to a long time between overhauls (TBO) of 2,000 hours, with no need for airframe or engine overhaul after 12 years, provided that regular maintenance is carried out.
Manufaktura Lotnicza’s offer, which includes low ongoing maintenance, financing, insurance, and service costs, allows private helicopter owners to keep maintenance costs relatively low and maintain a high residual value of the machine when reselling.

ARGO AH-22

has enough space to accommodate two large people. It is powered by a modern 150 hp UL Power engine with natural air intake. It has an electromechanical governor and consumes approximately 25 liters of automotive fuel per hour.

ARGO AH-23

has been designed to harness the potential of the most popular ROTAX aircraft engine manufactured by an Austrian factory with over 100 years of tradition. This remarkable power unit delivers 160 hp from a turbocharged engine and has a TBO of 2,000 hours. The continuous engine power is 141 hp at 5,500 rpm. The maximum power of 160 hp can be used for 5 minutes during takeoff, landing, and operations requiring high power. Fuel consumption can reach 35 l/h of aviation fuel.

ARGO AH-24

is the most powerful model in the AH helicopter range and is powered by a six-cylinder UL Power UL 520 engine with up to 200 hp. It is a true workhorse that can carry heavy loads and fly over the Alps. It has the option of installing external cargo racks and can be equipped with a cargo hook.
We recommend this version to professional customers who can take advantage of the potential of the powerful 6-cylinder engine. The AH 24 can be equipped with an additional fuel tank, which together with the standard tank provides a capacity of 120 liters of RON 98 automotive fuel. Fuel consumption is 35 l/h.

ARGO AH (Argo Helicopters) Features

The modern inspiring confidence aviation engines is the most important, it is light and strong, designed as an aircraft engine with all systems doubled, it runs at a low speed of 2800-3500 RPM for long life.
We used drive belts from Robinson, proven and with long life (2000 hour TBC). Another key factor is the engine fairing, airflow tests conducted in the wind tunnel showed high turbulence forming behind helicopters without engine fairings, which reduced speed and caused vibration at higher speeds. The slim engine fairing integrated into the cabin and large trunk is a step forward. The main rotor, blades made of carbon fiber with the center of gravity distributed toward the blade tip, the so-called “high inertia rotor”, making autorotation much easier and safer, the blades have a leading edge made of metal.
Also worth mentioning is the adjustable engine speed controller (governor), which works integrated with the mechanical correlator with possible power adjustment in the range of 65 RPM. Nice interior and modern avionics built into an ergonomic instrument panel. Integrated active safety systems, strobe lights working with the FLARM on-board warning system. New ergonomic bucket seats, high-quality leather and alcantara trim materials and modern GARMIN and KANARDIA Avionics with 3-axis autopilot complete the package.

ARGO AH - The Ideal Option for Private Owners

For private owners, the AH cost model is revolutionary. Calendar depreciation is essentially eliminated with a long 2,000-hour conditional TBO and no 12-year aircraft and engine overhaul. MANUFACTURING Aerospace’s commitment to low ongoing maintenance and insurance costs lowers the remaining TBO, allowing most first-time private helicopter owners to keep their aircraft for themselves and avoid the perils and uncertainties of leaseback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the ARGO AH a kit helicopter?

No, traditional kit helicopters give you the opportunity to build the aircraft yourself away from the controlled environment of a factory with little supervision. The ARGO AH can be built in MANUFAKTURA Aerospace’s manufacturing facility, state-of-the-art production equipment and carefully controlled manufacturing processes, while all owners are supported and guided by our highly skilled production staff. The ARGO AH purchase agreement requires owner-operators to attend our comprehensive factory workshops to complete the aircraft, learning invaluable skills and understanding of the aircraft, its systems and how to ensure it remains in airworthy condition. Our philosophy is to provide not only a luxury helicopter, but also an ownership experience that enhances knowledge, skills, understanding and, above all, safety.

Not at all. In order to demonstrate the airworthiness of the ARGO AH , Aircraft MANUFACTURE is required to fully comply with EASA CS-VLR Very Light Rotorcraft (UK/European) regulations.
These are the latest certification standards for normal category rotorcraft, harmonized worldwide by ICAO. These are the exact standards that a new certified helicopter would have to meet to demonstrate airworthiness. The one factor that differentiates the ARGO AH from traditionally certified aircraft is that we chose to involve owners in the manufacturing process, because a fundamental part of our product offering is that we not only sell a great helicopter, but also equip pilots with the skills and knowledge they need to be safe and informed helicopter owner-operators.

Yes! MANUFACTURING AIRCRAFT is submitting all applications for unrestricted operational approval beyond private operation of the aircraft in each country where it is purchased.
AH ‘s full compliance with recognized certification standards, along with increased fulfillment of amateur requirements, including approved maintenance and training programs, will help expedite the process and secure approval in your country.

Absolutely not. All aircraft, from single-seat domestic designs to A380s, must meet strict airworthiness and certification requirements. The ARGO AH meets all the latest EASA and FAA requirements pertaining to very light helicopters, which in most cases are much more stringent than light helicopters flying today, which were certified under much older regulations.
One of the key differences in the amateur-built/experimental category is the owner’s involvement in the construction process. While this category allows owner-operators to construct at home and under limited supervision, the Aircraft MANUFACTURE absolutely prohibits this practice. All of our aircraft are fully constructed in our factory under the direct supervision of licensed professionals. In this way, we can ensure the highest level of safety, quality and airworthiness to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Since certification is best suited for commercial operations, and more than 80% of ultra-light helicopters are privately owned, we believe that offering our high quality AH using technology amateur/experimental is the best way to deliver an innovative, safe aircraft at an affordable purchase and operating price.
